    Changsha :: 27 & 28 Sept 05

27 Sept 05 - Aku sampai ERL Putrajaya ngam2 5 minutes before train depart to KLIA. Sampai airport, check in then terus melantak kat Golden Lounge. Flight depart at 9.35 am sharp & we were the last to board in. Business class seating tak penuh so everybody took the opportunity to sit beside the window. As usual meal in business class is superb.

We arrived at Baiyun Airport, Guangzhou at 1.30pm. It's the new airport, not the one when I came last time. Then we checked in for a domestic China Southern airline to Changsha. As expected, the flight which is supposed to be at 1640 hrs was delayed. Arrived in Changsha at about 7 pm. A rep from the host company picked and took us for dinner at a Muslim restaurant. After that we went straight to Dolton Hotel. Immediately after check-in, I plugged in the network cable to look for internet connection.... and voila! Unfortunately I can't open my blog from here for whatever reason that I don't know. Not only mine but all blogspots, still can't figure out why.

28 Sept 05 - 1st meeting with Broad China, the company which we bought the chiller from. It was a long day for all of us, you know why..... because they cannot speak English. When they said something, the translator will do his job to translate to English and vice versa. I only know few words: xie-xie (thank you), may guan shee (nevermind), dsai jian (goodbye), ni hao (how are you), wo bu che tau (I don't know), wo bu ming bai (I don't understand), qi na li (where from), cai na li (go where), ni shao shen ma (what are u laughing at), piao liang (beautiful), dui bu chi (I'm sorry), mo mantai (no problem), dui bu dui (right or not) and ni fang pi hen cau (your fart smell like shit).

Tonight we have dinner at a western restaurant. I ordered nasi goreng Indonesia (with salted fish, garlic & egg), that's what actually written in the menu. Tomorrow is gonna be another long day. We expect that this meeting cannot end by Friday & we might not get back by Saturday, we need to stay longer here. Hopefully can go back before Ramadhan starts. I only bring 10 packets of Maggi..... think can survive.

    KLIA --> Guangzhou --> Changsha
Sakit badan sebab Ahad pagi hari tu aku pegi main golf 18 holes kat UPM ngan boss aku padahal malam tu aku keje, kes cari pasal la ni sebab lama tak main.

Packing dah siap dah, rasanya takde mende tertinggal kot. Esok flight aku pukul 9.30 pagi heading to Guangzhou then baru ambik domestic to Changsha. Journey might takes about 6 hours so boleh tidur la. Pagi esok nak catch up ERL pukul 7.20 pagi kat Putrajaya so that boleh sampai KLIA just 2 hours before departure.

Barang tak banyak aku bawak, just a suitcase, laptop backpack and my new gadget.... baik punya, nanti aku citer. Insya allah kalau ada internet dalam hotel kat sana aku akan sambung blogging. Maggi & 3-in-1 beverage tak tinggal punye sebab sana makan kureng sket. Hopefully before puasa dah boleh balik. Paling penting the power adaptor, kalau takde ni all my gadgets kaput la. Kepala plug kat sana lain sket even though the power rating is the same.

Aku dah ngantuk, nak tido, esok nak bangun awal. See you all in China.....

    Zhong guo, wo lai la...
Hmmm.. lama gak aku tak update blog ni. Nak tau apesal? Sebab aku sibuk sket, siapkan website untuk satu company kat Ireland. Putra Venture Ltd actually company member aku based kat Ireland. Main business diorang is buat shipping and forwarding from Ireland to Malaysia, door to door. Aku ambik masa about seminggu nak siapkan website ni, nasib baik guna template, kalau custom design tobat tak siap lagi. Pastu member aku Tongue suruh revamp blog dia pulak. Aku nak siapkan official website Bluedynno pun tak sempat. Malam ni aku take the chance to write something since lama dah tak update, tulis je la apa yang terlintas kat kepala hotak ni.

Jumaat lepas masa aku round-round Carrefour ngan Ija, aku terserempak ngan Ariesha and her hubby. Sempat la borak2 panjang gak sebab lama tak jumpa, jumpa online banyak kali la. Aku pegi tu sebab nak beli walker untuk Farra. Jumpa satu yang agak murah so angkut la. Dapat Fun Coupon Carrefour 4 keping, try luck just dapat hadiah misteri keychain Batman je, belasah je la.

Hari Sabtu lepas aku ada tournament Futsal organized by MCOBA kat Sports Planet Ampang. Gila lama aku tak main futsal, siap beli kasut baru sebab takde kasut dah. Takkan nak pakai safety boot kot. Kitorang kalah kat quarter, tapi masa grouping menang all the games. Aku sempat score 2 biji, a nice moment for me sebab sepanjang aku lawan bola tak penah score sebab aku main fullback. Score sendiri penah la sebijik masa PPM national in 1994. Baca report kat website batch MCKK 9195.

I've got myself a new gadget, an mp3 player. Beli kat Carrefour, murah je. Ada mp3/wma player, data storage, FM stereo (radio la tu) and voice recorder. Yang bestnya memory dia guna SD card so boleh upgrade anytime, tak macam yang lain internal memory tu. Sebab tu je alasan aku beli, lain takde.

This coming 27 Sept 05, I might be going oversea, to China again for the 3rd time. Mula2 sekali aku pegi Broad Town, Changsha kat wilayah Hunan. Masa tu bulan puasa, gila seksa puasa kat sana, aku sahur maggi ngan roti je. Nasib baik diorang bagi makan nasi lauk ikan ngan sayur masa berbuka, halal la tu. Masa tu pegi training for chiller service engineer for 10 days. Kali kedua aku pegi ke Dalian pulak. Tempat ni dekat ngan Jepun so orang kat sana reti cakap Mandarin ngan Jepun. Kali ni aku pegi sebab ada Factory Acceptance Test untuk check chiller before bawak balik ke Malaysia. Pegi lebih kurang 10 hari gak, time tu baru lepas raya. Aku tak raya pun sebab giliran aku keje, balik dari sana baru raya. Time tu musim sejuk so first time aku dapat pegang salji tapi sikit je la. Ada sekali tu aku nak breakfast kat hotel situ. Sampai kat depan entrance....
    Waiter: May I help you?
Aku: I'm looking for my friends.
Waiter: Four friends? (sambil tunjuk 4 jari)
Aku: No... no... not four friends, my friends.
Waiter: My friends? (muka dah pelik)
Aku: No... no... not your friends, my friends. It's ok, I can find them myself.
    Apedaaaa.....
    Dalian, China

Kali ni aku nak pegi for discussion on modification of chiller. Chiller kat plant aku tak perform, tak meet the capacity. So manufacturer nak buat modification, diorang panggil the so called tech team dari sini. So sebab aku one of the chiller development program yang buat training kat sini, aku pun disuruh pegi lagi ke Broad Town, Changsha. Tak confirm lagi berapa hari pegi tapi aku make sure balik before puasa. Tak sanggup aku nak pose kat sana lagi. Kalau ada internet kat hotel aku kat sana nanti aku update apa aktiviti aku. Visa dah apply, tak tau la kalau management cancel last minute...
    Broad Town, Changsha

    Tatau nak tulis apa...
First of all, sorry to all hoppers to this blog especially Nad & Ariesha coz lama tak update. Bukan apa, takde mood & takde idea nak update sekarang ni, blogger's block. Nak kata aku sibuk tak jugak, nak kata ada keje lain tak jugak. Tapi tu la, blogger's block. Mesti korang penah rasa camni kan? Aku ada satu topic best nak post tapi sampai sekarang tak terpost lagi. Tunggu la 2-3 hari lagi ke.

Last week... hmmmm... last week apa benda menarik ek? Isnin keje... Selasa, Rabu & Khamis training kat Yokogawa Puchong. Jumpa 2-3 orang junior UTP kat sana yang keje ngan Yokogawa i.e. Kucing & Adi, yang lain aku tak ingat nama, kenal muka je. Oooo... last week aku dapat hadiah dari Maxis sebab jawab customer survey ntah apa ntah hari tu. Aku dapat SIM card backup. Macam menarik tapi macam tak guna gak sebab sekarang ni most handphone guna internal memory untuk store data. Sim card cuma guna untuk buat call je. Nasib baik free...
    Maxis Sim card backup

Lately, actually aku tengah berkira-kira nak beli digicam baru. Kali ni aku target nak beli digital SLR. Tiap-tiap hari aku usha internet kot2 ada offer yang murah, tak kesah la 2nd hand pun asalkan kualiti masih ok sebab aku baru nak belajar. Aku tengah buat comparison nak beli Canon 300D/350D, Nikon D50 or Lumix FZ-20. Aku ada dapat satu contact mamat ni nak jual Canon 300D dia for only RM1,900 tapi slow betul dia respon. Rasanya baru 2 kali dia reply email aku, and dia asyik lupa kasik nombor handphone dia. Katanya dia serius nak jual, kalau ye pun check la email tu frequently. Setiap kali aku bukak email dengan harapan dia reply email aku tapi hampa. Tiap2 hari aku bukak internet carik artikel pasal photography, saje baca nak tambah ilmu tapi terkilan tak dapat nak practice sebab camera takde lagi. At least aku dah paham sket what are aperture, shutter speed, ISO, teleconverter, lense filter, fuzzy, depth of field and exposure all about. Also some of the digital imaging technique using Photoshop to enhance photos taken. Hari tu aku terjumpa satu magazine namanya Chip Photo-Video, terus beli sebab cuma RM10 je. Bagus gak mag tu sebab dia ada buat review camera, artikels and teknik ambik gambar plus a free CD. Most important it is a local publication so... soooo..... so camtu la....

Member aku dari Dublin call last week, terkejut gak aku ingat ada hal apa. Rupanya dia nak mintak tolong buatkan website untuk company dia. Dia buat shipping and forwarding from Ireland to Malaysia. Esoknya dia call lagi sekali, nak propose aku promote web design kat Ireland sebab kat sana demand ok jugak. Aku tengah memperkemaskan website Bluedynno Multimedia aku so that boleh dia start buat marketing kat sana. So sekarang ni aku tengah sibuk buat website dia dan jugak prepare website aku untuk market Ireland. Not just Ireland la but for a start kat sana dulu la, pasni baru open worldwide..... macam kerajaan cakap.... apa namaaa..... Melayu Glokal..... huh!

Tadi aku pegi Temerloh, ada wedding member lama Ija. Dia keje ngan TLDM, suami dia pun TLDM, so tadi ada sword march la, macam adik aku kawen itu hari. Tapi yang ni kureng sket sebab takde bagpipes, kureng klasik sket. Aku tak lepaskan peluang ambik video sebab menarik tengok, bukan macam kawen orang biasa.

Ok la weh, serius aku takde idea nak tulis apa ni. Tunggu je la next posting yang aku cakap tadi. Korang update la blog korang dulu, jangan risau, aku akan baca punye. Adios amigos....!!

    What I was like
I'm not sure what Ariesha meant by tag but I think I just know what to do. Since it's Saturday and I'm working the very the boring, maybe I can spend some time to write about this...

    20 years ago : 1985 (I was 7)
Stardard 1 but cannot remember what kind of flowers or something that named my class, hehe. My first school was Sekolah Rendah Sri Kinta, Ipoh, Perak. My father was transfered to Pertubuhan Peladang Perak. We lived at Taman Razaki, Ipoh. The school is far in the town so I had to get a bus to go to school. Woke at 5.30 am every morning which I never do nowadays just to fetch the bus at about 6.30 am. I still can remember the famous song that time was Suara Kekasih by Alleycats. Why? Because the bus driver was an Indian and he tuned to that number everyday during the long journey to school. At this school also I had my first crime record. I was playing with my friend, throwing stones to each other pretending like bombs.... hahaha, you know how great a child can imagine! Accidentally, I repeat accidentally, I thrown a stone and it hit right on my friend's head and it was bleeding like hell. I was like saying, "Kenapa kau tak elak?" like what Pendekar Mustar said to Aziz Satar in Pendekar Bujang Lapok. And on that same that I got my first public canning on my palm. The next day I saw my friend's head had a patch of yellow gauze with some stitches. By Standard 2 I was transfered to Sekolah Sungai Rokam. Not that I was dismissed from that school but because it was nearer to my house and I can go to school by bicycle. In that new school I met my first monkey love with a Minang girl named Saleha... Aduh Saleha! She had very long hair down to her waist and sepet eyes, chinese look la konon. I still can remember how we declared.... She asked, "Hang syok kat aku tak?". And I replied, "Syok!!!". Then she declared, "Aku pun syok kat hang!". And there goes the monkeys.............

    10 years ago : 1995 (I was 17)
Final year as a budak koleq in the Malay College Kuala Kangsar. 5 crucial years being a budak koleq taught me everything about life and brotherhood. I also had my second rotan here but not public, on my palm too. This time around I was accused for beating juniors but not as what they did nowadays. Those boys still live today and maybe have better life than me. In this school I don't have any monkey love because it's all BOYS. We did ushar some of the girls from nearby Sekolah Raja Perempuan Kalsom and not forgeting our friends from Tunku Khursiah College. I knew a girl from TKC, introduced by my aunty who is at the same age as me. We did keep a close contact but she took me as a best friend only. This coming Sept 10 is her 27th birthday. To know more about my MCKK life, please visit Prystine Percheron website. And these are the monkeys........

    5 years ago : 2000 (I was 22)
Final year of my campus life in UTP. We were the first graduates from this university. When I admitted to UTP in 1996, there was only 5 buildings. 2 blocks (Semarang & Baram) for guys hostels, 1 block (Duyong) for ladies hostel, a canteen and admin block. There were nothing in our twin sharing room except a bed, matress and a plastic chair... until about 2 weeks time when they furnished the rooms properly. Classes were shared with USM students. Here I learnt inline skating, silat cekak, setup Kembara club (which was the hottest club those days), programming software, gamelan and suchs. The greatest personal achievement for me was winning the Invention & Design Competition with my software called PCBuddy. Thanx to Ariesha, Kak Ude, Cik Lin and other Trons who supported me during the exhibition. My final year project, SISCO, a computerised home alarm system also won the 1st prize for EE faculty. We graduated in 2001, although with small numbers of graduates but it was grand enough being the Inaugural Convocation of UTP. Monkey love? And a monkey broke my heart......

    3 years ago : 2002 (I was 24)
Working in Gas District Cooling (Putrajaya) Sdn. Bhd. as a Shift Supervisor. GDC is the only plant in KL or Selangor and for Putrajaya we supply chilled water to government buildings, in which Uncle Leman termed as air-cond. I am not an air-cond engineer as some might think of so don't call me to repair clogged air-cond compressor at your house. I learned everything in this plant as what I do now doesn't mirror what I learned in UTP. It's more into thermodynamics, physics, mechanical and chemistry whereas my degree is Electrical/Electronics Eng (Computer System). What to do, I have to payback my loan with Petronas by having 7 years contract. 3 more years to go. Here I met my lovely wife, an Instrument Technician. We got married in 2003. Not a monkey love anymore, this time it has become a gorilla........

    Last year : 2004 (I was 26)
Hmm... what happen last year huh? Time flies by so fast when you are getting older. Not a very interesting year, still working as a Shift Supervisor and adapted to answer, "Alaa, sori la, aku kene keje la weekend ni." when somebody asked me to play golf, futsal or attend a wedding during weekends. Working in shift makes you lost some of your social life. But a gorilla got to do what a gorilla got to do.....

    This year : 2005 (I am 27)
Still working as Shift Supervisor in GDC Putrajaya. Blessed with a daughter, my lovely cutie pie Wan Nurfarra Irdina. She's 6 1/2 months now, can't live in a day without her. Formed Intelicom Resources to market my very own software, KRIMS. KRIMS was inspired when I went to a clinic and got pissed off when it took about 1/2 hour just to look for my medical record card and finally asked me to open a new one. I wrote the programme, discussed with my friends over a teh tarik session, formed the company and promote KRIMS. It made its debut last month in Klinik Puteri Anwar, Klang. Still a long way to go. Now who's your daddy gorilla..........?

    Next year : 2006 (I will be 28)
I may not be working in GDC anymore because by May 2006, GDC will be fully outsourced. Sad to accept the fact but it feels like we are being colonized. As for KRIMS, I want to make sure by end of next year it is well known in Selangor and Klang Valley. Intelicom will expand its products in wider range which includes affiliation with other companies as well. That is what I plan..... gorilla in the mist......

    10 years from now : 2015 (I will be 37, Insya Allah)
I still want to work but in the comfy office at home alongside my wife and children. By this time my contract with Petronas is over and I can concentrate on my own company, doing what I like best. Hope that Intelicom will grow well along the years to come. Gorilla will become King Kong.......

So, now Nad and Effa, it's your turn to be tagged.

    ThinkGeek!
Call me a geek, but these stuff are bombs!!! Ok, only geeks use that word ;-D I came across this website ThinkGeek and found a lot of interesting big boys toys which I think cannot be found here in Malaysia. You might like them, these are my favorites, check it out.

    Star Wars Force FX Lightsaber

This one is of course my favourite stuff. This isn't a toy for your six year old cousin (he probably doesn't even know what planet Wookies live on). This is an official reproduction of real Lightsabers from Star Wars. "Real lightsabers?", you might be thinking, "Star Wars isn't real!". Tell that to the masses who dress up every day as Darth Vader and Princess Leia across the globe, tell that to the folks who build droid replicas in their garages, study Sith history, and practice their Huttese. Star Wars is very real. And these working lightsabers make that extremely apparent. Featuring realistic lighting and sound effects, these close combat weapons of the Jedi and Sith from the Star Wars saga are absolutely amazing. Price: $119.99

    Megazooka

Megazooka shoots a powerful blast of air up to 20 feet at unsuspecting targets. Requiring no batteries or electricity, MegaZooka can operate simply by pulling and releasing the built-in elastic air launcher. And here's the best part: because it shoots air, you'll never run out of ammo! MegaZooka features a pop-up sight, double handle grips for improved aiming and single shot trigger action or rapid fire. Price: $24.99

    USB Microscope QX5

Fancy to be a CSI agent? This computer microscope allows you to turn the ordinary into the extraordinary for hours of fun and learning. View specimens collected around the house, backyard, your desk, or the fridge. Look at the micro-printing on a dollar bill or examine the traces on your motherboard. This microscope provides you an easy way to zoom in on a wide variety of objects to satisfy your curiosity of the world around you. Ever wondered what lint looks like or the mold growing on your week-old bagels? Now you can find out. Price: $79.99

    Lightalk LED Scanner

Picture this: you are in a meeting, bored out of your mind. So you doodle on your note pad, pretending to take notes. Suddenly, you realize you might have created the world's greatest doodle and you need to share it with your equally bored coworker on the other side of the table. Pull out your LighTalk; problem solved. Price: $39.99

Antworks - Space Age Ant Habitat

This miraculous gel, derived from a NASA Space experiment, serves as both habitat and nutrition for your ants - allowing you to watch in awe as they turn a brick of aqua-blue gel into a fascinating colony of tunnels. Never before have you been so capable of watching these awesome creatures at work. Price: $12.99

    Inflatable Speakers

Your MP3 player – you take it everywhere. You always have banks of music at your fingertips. But what happens if you are at a party or cookout, and you notice it is just too quiet? Problem solved with the inflatable speakers. Pull out all you need from the included carrying bag, blow up the speakers, and hook them up to the Mini Amplifier. If you’re near an outlet, plug in the AC adaptor. If not, use the included battery back, which holds on underneath the Mini Amp with a square of hook-and-loop closure. Plug the Mini Amp into your MP3 player and get the music flowing. Price: $39.99

Cool huh?! There are more of their kind at ThinkGeek. Even if you're not a geek, you're gonna love them because some of them are just cute to place on your desktop. If only I can get them here at cheaper price......

My best buddy Nadya, told me about this one blog of a Muslim Mat Saleh called Jordan F Macvay. His blogsite Macvaysia is one of my daily dose during bloghopping. Check out his postings and you will like it.

Did anyone watched Merdeka Parade at Putrajaya on tv yesterday? If you don't, there was one funny thing happen. There was supposed to be a little a kid who was assigned to lead others to yell "Merdeka!" during the opening ceremony. I don't know what he was thinking that time but he accidentally overyelled. I supposed the cry should be only 3 times if I'm not mistaken. But what he did was, "Merdeka! Merdeka! Merdeka! Merdeeeee..... Daulat Tuanku!!!". It tickled the crowds and even the Agong laughed too. Maybe he was too excited with the spirit of Merdeka.
